Review of 2017 - my favourite cards using Stampin' Up!

Hi there everyone,

Happy New Year!!

Well, as the old year comes to a close and the new one is welcomed in, I thought I'd just take a little look back at the projects I've made since last January and pick out a few of my favourites. Just click on the name of each month to see the original blog posts for any of these.

I still love this card - so simple but effective. The stamp set I used ("Big on Birthdays") is still current but the embossing folder has now retired. However, there a lot of other embossing folders which could be used and look just as good!

This card uses the Up and Away thinlits which are still available - and of course any card featuring rainbow colours is going to remain one of my favourites!

This card was one of my most popular posts of last year. Using the lovely "Avant Garden" set which was one of last year's Sale-a-bration offerings.

Using the lovely "Window Box Thinlits" - a set I've not used nearly enough - this clean and simple card was for my niece. Hope she liked it!

Ahead of the new catalogue launch in June, I used the new Daisy Punch to make this pretty bouquet of paper daisies!

Pretty little cards using the still current "Blooms and Wishes" set - these were the "make and Takes" for my catalogue launch Open House.

Another really popular post (with loads of views of the YouTube tutorial!) was this card made with the Large Letter Framelits.

Another rainbow themed project, this time with the fabulous "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" set.

I love this simple little card, using the Flirty Flowers set. This was one of my entries for the Pootlers Design Team.

I like the simplicity of this card - not many products needed - one stamp set, one ink pad, a few rhinestones. The Fluury of Wishes set I used is still current.

I don't tend to make a huge number of 3-D projects - most of mine are cards, but I love this idea of creating a beautiful, bespoke gift bag for a mini bottle of Prosecco, especially with the lovely foiled "Year of Cheers" papers.

And lastly, one of my favourite makes for Christmas this year.

Hope you have enjoyed my review of 2017. Now that Christmas is over, the excitement over the new catalogue and Sale-a-bration can really begin!! Come back soon to see the projects I've been making with all the lovely new goodies available from January 3rd! And Happy New Year!

Hooray!! Sale-a-bration is almost here!

I can't wait to share all the excitement in store during the biggest sale of the Stampin' Up year, Sale-A-Bration! For those of you who've never been through a Sale-A-Bration before, let me just tell you, you're in for a treat!

Here's a quick overview of what we can expect from SAB 2018:

From January 3rd to March 31st, every £45 spent gets you a free choice from a special Sale-A-Bration leaflet. Packed with exclusive stamps and papers, ribbon bundles, card kits, scrapbooking goodies (and even a special Big Shot die set this year!) there are sure to be multiple things on your wish list. NEW this year are two BIG items you can get free with £90 purchases. And most of these items will be not be available to purchase - the only way to get them is to earn them for free with a qualifying order. Only the die set will be carrying over to the next catalogue. Not only that but you can earn the freebies for every £45 you spend - so spend £90 and choose two free items (or one of the new bigger cost items), spend £135 and choose three - and so on.

I think this stamp set of cute pandas will be one of the most popular choices from this year's selection of Sale-a-bration goodies!
Even more freebies....
As well as all the offers available during the Sale-a-bration event and the free gift from me from my monthly shopping code, I have decided to offer yet another free gift to any customers who shop with me during Sale-a-bration. Any orders received during January, February and March will also qualify for a pack of 5 handmade greetings cards. These will be cards I have made for showcasing on my blog and will be suitable for a range of occasions - birthday, thank you, congratulations and others. No need to contact me to claim yours - they will be sent out automatically the month following your order.
During our Sale-A-Bration promotion, party hostesses will receive an additional £20 worth of free product of their choice when orders from their party hits £200. So at least £40 of free products just for you. Guests getting their £45 and £90 orders in will help boost your party total and land you with more freebies than you can shake a stick at! Just let me know if you'd like to hold a party - you just invite a few friends and I'll bring everything needed for a fun, crafty evening.
No time to have an actual in-home workshop? Most people "host" online these days. It's as simple as putting out an email or messaging friends. They can shop with your hostess code and you'll still get the benefits. Or just put in your own order totalling over £200 and benefit from these extra Stampin' Rewards.
Two free stamp sets of any value...

Here comes the best part of all... the Sale A Bration perks for buying the Starter Kit! I don’t make any secret of the fact that joining Stampin' Up was one of the best things I have ever done! Like so many demonstrators I originally signed up for the fantastic 20% net discount we automatically receive on all orders. However, my business has gradually evolved from simply buying products for my own enjoyment, then selling a little to friends, to where I am today, with a growing base of lovely customers and a small but expanding team of demonstrators in my downline. To be able to make money doing something I really love is a real privilege! And in addition I have made some fantastic friends and had so many laughs along the way. If your Stampin' Up wish list is more than £99, you honestly have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Especially during Sale-a-bration.
During Sale-a-bration joining up by purchasing the Starter Kit is an even better deal that usual! You choose £130 worth of any current goods of your choice PLUS any two additional stamp sets from either catalogue of any value (could be up to a total of £90)!You will pay only £99 and P&P is free.
Contact me for more details!
I really hope you will be joining in with all the fun of Sale-a-bration - these offers really are too good to miss!!

MERRY Christmas card with Stampin' Up! Large Letters

Hi everyone,

Well, just when I think I've shown you all my Christmas projects, I find another one hiding that I haven't showcased yet. And this I think is one of my favourites of this year.
MERRY Christmas card using Large Letter dies

Large letter dies from Stampin' Up!

Once again it is a concertina card, although this time with a lot less panels. I have cut the letters from Gold/Silver Glimmer paper and used the Year of Cheer papers to mount them on. They were then mounted on Gold/Silver Foil card. The holly leaves were punched from Wild Wasabi card stock using the Holly Berry Builder punch and the berries from Real Red card stock using 1/8" circle handheld punch. The "Christmas" sentiment I used was from the Merry Mistletoe set - I had to mask off the "Wishes" at the bottom (see how in the video below) and then heat embossed it in either silver or gold.

If you'd like to see my video tutorial showing how I made these cards, just click HERE or on the image below.

The measurements if you want to have a go are, in metric:
Whisper White - 28 cm x 9 cm scored at 7 cm, 14 cm, 21 cm. And 8 cm x 9 cm scored on the 8 cm side at 1 cm.
Gold/Silver Foil - 5 x 5.5 cm x 8 cm
Year of Cheer DSP - 5 x 5 cm x 7.5 cm

In Imperial:
Whisper White - 211 ins x 3 1/2 ins scored at 2 3/4 ins, 5 1/2 ins,8 1/4 ins. And 3 1/4 ins x 3.1/2 ins scored on the 3 1/4 ins side at 1/2 in.
Gold/Silver Foil - 3 1/8 ins x 2 1/8 ins

Year of Cheer DSP - 2 7/8 ins x 1 7/8 ins

Now, that really must be the end of Christmas cards for me. Can't wait to get started on projects using all the new goodies from the Spring/Summer catalogue. Would you like to receive one FREE from me - just let me know and I'll pop it in the post!
