Happy (belated) birthday to me!!

Hi there everyone,

Thanks for dropping by today. A slightly different post from me today. A couple of weeks ago it was my birthday and I had a lovely time. My husband managed to get tickets for us to go to Elstree studios to see a BBC quiz programme being made during the day and then in the evening I thought we were going out for a quiet meal together. Imagine my surprise when we arrived at the restaurant and all three of my (now grown up) children were there waiting for us.

We had such a lovely evening! But as well as that I thought I would show you a few of the lovely cards (and one present) that I received. I've also showcased them on the video below.

This first card was from my friend and fellow demo, Gez Carpenter who goes under the name of Nigezza Creates. I'm definitely going to CASE this card with different DSP!

Gez also sent me these lovely daisy earrings, made from some of our embellishments. Genius!

And of course she made some beautiful packaging too.

This card above was from my friend and ex work colleague, Ann. Absolutely beautiful.

And this one was from a very good friend and gym buddy. We have shared our love of crafting and particularly card making for many years.

I'm including this card, firstly because it is lovely and secondly because it has given me some ideas for cards I could make using Stampin' Up! products.

And this card was from my husband, and I love it. Very clean and simple, which is just my style. And no gushy sentiment - just a simple Happy Birthday in a great font. And again this card has given ideas for replication - using the Varied Vases bundle which will be available in a couple of days.

I'm including this card, from a friend I've known for 40 plus years, as it was so appropriate, as we had just returned from a family holiday in New York.

And lastly, this card, which was not a birthday card but a thank you from my son's girlfriend Sophie, for taking her with us to New York. A quilled Statue of Liberty! Some of you might know that I love quilling and have a shop over on Etsy selling my quilled cards so this card was so appropriate on so many levels!

If you'd like to see more of these cards (and hear more of my ramblings)you can watch my short video HERE or click on the image below:

Stampin' Up! new colour swatches

Hi everyone,

In my video yesterday, I gave you a little peek of the colour swatches I have been making and sending out to any customers who have shopped with me over the past 6 months, along with their brand new Annual catalogues (and, of course, also a little chocolate treat!)

New Stampin' Up! colours swatch

My team leader sent me a swatch like this when I first joined as a demo and I have loved it, so thought that as we have such a big colour shake up this year, my customers might like them too.

It makes me so happy just looking at all these colours together - can't wait to start playing with them once the catalogue goes live!

Here is each colour family in close up.

So if you'd like to get your hands on one of these you know what to do.... get an order in (no minimum order) before the end of May - I have a whole pile of swatches just waiting to be sent out!

Back soon with another project. Meanwhile, have a great day,

Jill xx

New colours with decorative ribbon border punch

Hey there,

Hope you've been having a great Bank Holiday weekend if you are in the UK. Did you have storms? I've never seen anything like it!

But enough of that and onto my project for today. I've been really loving getting to know some of our new colours which will be in the new catalogue (out on Friday - have you got yours? If not, let me know!). And I remembered a project I had seen last year by Kelly Kent, an Australian Stampin' Up! demo and decided to CASE it, changing it up just a little.

Decorative ribbon border punch by Stampin Up

I started off with this card, using Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay to make the border strips. Then there was no stopping me:

This one uses Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover

Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Rich Razzleberry

Decorative ribbon border punch by Stampin Up
Daffodil Yellow, Melon Melody and Pumpkin Pie

The last one I made was the one I made on the video tutorial, using Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Powder Pink - no new colours there!

It's a very simple little card to make but if you'd like to see how just hop on over to my YouTube tutorial HERE or click on the image below.

I finished my cards off by stamping a greeting from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Basic Grey onto a 6cm diameter Stitched Circle and mounting that on a 6.5cm scalloped circle. A couple of enamel shapes (will be so sad to see these go) and I was done.

Hope you like them!

Don't forget only a few more days to use my May shopping code. And if you need a catalogue, just give me a shout!

Join Stampin' Up with this fabulous "Share What You Love" bundle with 3 FREE gifts!

Hello everyone,

Today I'd like to tell you about the amazing deal that you can get by joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator. To do this, all you need to do is purchase the Starter Kit, which is always the best offer in the catalogue - you choose any products to a value of £130 and pay only £99, including FREE shipping. If you want to run a business, the starter kit also contains everything you need to get going like order forms and catalogues but there is no obligation to do this. There is NEVER any pressure to sell to other people, and in fact most people sign up as a demo just to get the discount for themselves. If you decide to be a hobby demo and buy products just for yourself, that is absolutely fine but there is always the opportunity of selling to friends, family and fellow crafters if you decide to. There is a minimum order amount (£275 per quarter before your discount) for you to stay as a demo, but if you decide you don't want to retain your demonstrator status you can just let it lapse and nothing will happen. You get to keep everything in your starter kit and just walk away.

Share What You Love from Stampin' Up!

But to make it an even better deal, at the moment, until 31st May, you could chose to include one of the fabulous bundles from the fabulous "Share What You Love" suite available as a pre-order, before the new catalogue comes out on 1st June. There are three bundles to choose from and each contains either one, two or three free items.
Personally I would go for the "Gotta Have it All" bundlewhich retails for £118.75 and includes 3 FREE gifts. This bundle is so great because you get 2 sets of stamps, an ink pad, 2 card packs, a huge selection of 12x12 designer papers (some of which are pearlised), envelopes, an embossing folder and loads of different embellishments.

You could then make up the rest of your kits with some craft essentials like a black ink pad, white card, a clear block or adhesive.

Here is a complete list of what is included in the bundle

  • Love What You Do Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Make A Difference Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • 40 sheets of Very Vanilla A4 Cardstock
  • 24 Sheets of A4 Share What You Love A4 Cardstock Pack in 4 colours

I've listed all the products below so that you can see them all - click on any of the images to go through to my shop to see them in more detail - but please note you will not be able to purchase the items individually until 1st June - if you try you'll most likely get an error message! And sorry, but I can't list the "Statement of the Heart" stamp as this is only available in the kit and not individually.
