Stamp Around UK November Video Hop - Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine

Hi everyone,
Welcome to a new month and another video from Stamp Around UK. We are a group of UK Stampin' Up! demos who get together once each month (on the first of each month) to bring you inspirational video tutorials featuring projects made on a theme. And our theme for this month is:
Shimmer, Sparkle and Shine

I am sure when Janice, who organises this hop, was planning this theme, she was thinking of Christmas crafting but I have have gone another way and made these bright and colourful butterfly cards using our Rainbow Glimmer Paper.

If you haven't seen the glimmer paper, do take a look at page 153 in the Annual Catalogue.

I used the Butterfly Beauty dies to cut out my butterflies.

As you can see, they are all attached to each other so needs some careful die cutting so as not to waste any of the lovely Glimmer Paper - I explain how I did it in the video which you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

I hope you see in the video just how lovely and sparkly the glimmer paper is. Not sure the photos do it justice but maybe the ones below are better?

I hope you've enjoyed seeing my project today. Do please keep hopping around all the links to see all the fabulous projects being made right in front of your eyes. Here is a list of everyone taking part - just click on any of the links to go straight to the YouTube video.

Thank You card with the Stitched Triangle dies - video tutorial

Hi everyone,

How are you doing today? Thanks for popping in to see me - much appreciated. Just a quick little post from me today, to show you a card I've posted. before but this time in an alternative colour scheme. Here is the card - do you recognise it?

This is the card I made on the video - see below! I have used Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody - a lovely summery combination I think!

I've had a lot of questions about that border die and how I inlaid all those tiny triangles back into it. You'll have to watch the video to see but I have to admit it was a bit of a labour of love. I enjoy doing fiddly things like that but if you don't then this card is probably not for you!!

The little butterflies are from the Butterfly Beauty set - I really haven't played with that set nearly enough - so many different elements! And of course the sentiment is from Ornate Thanks.

Here is the original card I showed you in colours which were chosen for a Colour Combo blog hop - Highland Heather, Sahara Sand and Misty Moonlight.

And if you want to watch me struggling to make interesting viewing while inlaying all those triangles you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below!

I hope you enjoy watching. Will you be having a go? Whatever you are up to, enjoy.

Back soon,

Beauty Abounds Butterfly card

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today - thanks so much for popping in! Today I am bringing you the video tutorial to show you how to make this card which I posted a few days ago.
Beauty Abounds Stampin' Up!

I made this card for a blog hop and the theme was a colour challenge - Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Gray Granite. This combination was a bit of a challenge for me - not colours I would usually put together. So when it came to the video tutorial I chose colours which were more soothing to my eyes. Although in fact I only needed to change one colour - I substituted Coastal Cabana (I LOVE that colour) instead of Grapefruit Grove (not a fan!) and, ta da, what a difference it made!

Beauty Abounds Stampin' Up!

I do love this combination of turquoise and lilac. And I am now realising how lovely the Beauty Abounds stamp set is and regretting that I haven't used it more.

Beauty Abounds Stampin' Up!

Of course, I had to do a little bit of stamping inside too!

Beauty Abounds Stampin' Up!

Here are both cards together so you can make your own decision about which one you like best!

Beauty Abounds Stampin' Up!

And without further delay, here is the video tutorial so you can watch and then make your own card. Just CLICK HERE or on the image below:

Hope you enjoyed seeing that. Back soon. Til then stay safe,
