Clean and simple card with Small Bloom Punch

Hi everyone,

Some of you who have been following me for a while might remember how much I loved the Small Bloom Punch when it was first released as a FREE item during Saleabration in January.

I was so happy to see it back in the Annual Catalogue and my love for it is undiminished! So when I needed three special birthday cards for three special people recently - my sister, my sister-in-law and my youngest daughter, I turned once again to this little punch. I know that they all love a clean and simple card as much as me so my mission was clear. Here is the first card I came up with.

I started with a Soft Sea Foam card blank and then layered another mat of Soft Sea Foam which I had embossed with the new Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays.
I used the sentiment in the top left corner but not before I had cut it apart so that it just said Happy Birthday. If I want it to be a belated birthday greeting, I can easily place the pieces back together on a block.

The little sprigs of foliage were cut with a die from the Butterfly Beauty set of dies.

Once I'd made this card (for my sister in law), I decided to make another one in mostly whites for my sister.

I think I prefer this one - not quite pure white on white, but nearly!

Pop back tomorrow if you'd like to see my video tutorial of how I made this card. I'll show you how I made the same design card for my youngest daughter Annie, whose birthday was yesterday. She is into much brighter colours so what colours do you think I used?

The Project Share Project - July 2nd

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. Yesterday all four of us took part in the Stamp Around UK Video Hop and our theme was "DSP" (or patterned paper). Today I have chosen the three wonderful projects made by the others in this group for the video hop, beginning with Verity of Inky Butterfly who has made a lovely set of cards, including this one.

Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card and watch her video by CLICKING HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie. Heather made these cute little treat holders.

Stamp Around UK Video Hop - showcasing DSP (patterned paper)

Hi everyone,

Today I am taking part in the Stamp Around UK Video Hop where our theme is "DSP". You should have hopped here after watching Verity's video.

For those of you who are not Stampin' Up! aficionados, DSP is what we call our patterned paper - it stands for Designer Series Paper. I decided to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card I had seen on Stampin' Up!'s video channel.

I used our stacks of colour family 6" x 6" DSP. You can find it on pg 150 of the new Annual Catalogue. I used mostly Brights, with a couple of Subtles. And the hexagons were made by cutting a 1 1/2" strip of DSP and cutting it using the Tailored Tag Punch. You can see how its done on my video!

Here are the two cards in close up:

You can watch my video by CLICKING HERE. All the others participating in the Video Hop are linked below. Do please take time to visit them all - you'll be amazed at all the fantastic projects. After me, you should be jumping over to see what Donna has been up to!

Goodbye June and Hello July!

Hi everyone,

So, June came and went in a flash and so many of you took advantage of the great promotions we had for the whole month. But now it is July and we have yet another great promotion for you. Some of you might remember the Bonus Days promotion from previous years. Here is the deal - for every £45 you spend on Stampin' Up! goodies in from 1st July to 3rd August, you will receive a £4.50 voucher to use on orders from 4th - 31st August. This is a great chance to stock up on all those essentials - adhesives, card stock, envelopes etc. And build up a little stash of vouchers to spend on the new Christmas mini catalogue which will be published on 4th August.

And just to round off June, I have chosen my favourite three projects from the past month to showcase once again.

Firstly, this pretty card made with the Field of Flowers bundle. Just one of several I made with these products but this one is my favourite!

Have a look at the original blog post and video by CLICKING HERE.

Next in my top three is this beautiful floral card using the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.
