My swaps for Stampin' Up! On-Stage 2018 - lollipop table favours

Hi there everyone,

At the weekend I attended the Stampin' Up! convention at the NEC in Birmingham. This is such a fun event, open to all Stampin' Up! demos, whether hobby demos (just enjoying the discount for their own purchases) or business demos (trying to build a customer base and team). It's so great to get together with so many like minded people - I have made some good friends through Stampin Up!

One of the traditions at these events is that we make a number (can be any number you like) of the same project - can be a card, a tag, a book mark, a box, a bag....the choice is yours! And then we all swap so instead of, say, 50 of the same project, we end up with 50 different projects. Such fun.

Today I am bringing you the project I made for swapping. Swaps necessarily have to be fairly simple so that they can be mass produced. Here is mine, based around a little candy lollipop.

Little Elephant from Stampin' Up!

I was inspired to make these after spotting a huge tub of lollies lurking in my husband's study. He is a children's entertainer and sometimes gives these out as treats at parties.

The tub holds 120 lollies - I didn't make that many swaps!! As you can see, I have gone back to using my favourite bright, rainbow colours. The colours I chose were Gorgeous Grape, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade.

All the stamping was done using the Little Elephant set - I really love this set and haven't used it nearly enough - need to do something about that!

I used the little cluster of hearts to do the background stamping and then the thank you heart as well. The background stamping was done in Versamark on most of the colours but it did not show up enough on the Daffopdil Delight so I used the same colour ink pad for that one.  You can see how I made them on my video HERE or by clicking on the image below.

And here are two of the favours in close up.

I'll be back soon with more creative projects!

Jill and Gez Go Crafting - What's Gez been up to this week?

Hi there,

Today I have another opportunity to showcase what my good friend Gez has been up to in her craft studio this week. Firstly I have a lovely card from Gez using the Snow is Glistening stamp set.

Snow is Glistening Stampin Up

Such a simple card but so pretty and so effective - that tree stamp is so gorgeous. AS you might know, this is part of a selection of limited edition products which are only going to be for sale until 30th November or until stocks last. I'll be bringing some of my own projects using the products soon but meanwhile you can marvel at Gez's creation! Read more on her blog HERE.

Next is this lovely gift packaging for a chocolate orange. Who wouldn't want to find one of these in their stocking on Christmas Day?

You can view a tutorial on how to make this over on Gez's blog HERE

And finally for today, here are the swaps that Gez made for our Stampin' Up! convention, On Stage, on Saturday. I was lucky enough to receive one of these!

You really must watch Gez's video to see the unique closure on these little packets - you won't be disappointed! See it HERE

Hope you enjoyed those little peeks at Gez's projects? I'll be back tomorrow to show you the swaps I made for On Stage - do pop back and have a look!

Til then, have a great day,

Back from On Stage with a whole host of FREE goodies

Hi everyone,

A sneaky little extra post from me today. Yesterday I was so excited to be attending the Stampin' Up! convention (called On Stage) in Birmingham. Such a great day, amongst hundreds of other like minded people and with some good friends who I have met through Stampin' Up! Here is the table centre before the day really got started - the thirty represents the 30 year anniversary of Stampin' Up!

And here are just some of the other demos in the same team (The Pootlers) as me - it was so busy it was tricky to round everyone up!

One (and only one!) of the best things about the day is that Stampin' Up! really spoil us with loads of FREE gifts and this year was no exception. So here goes - all these things were received FREE from Stampin' Up!

Paper daisy crafting - Stampin Up

First of all, several of the freebies were packaged in this lovely storage box - definitely will find a use for this in my craft room!

One of the things in the box was this fabulous reversible canvas tote bag, sporting the new Stampin' Up! livery on one side:

And this lovely yellow polka dot pattern on the reverse.

Inside the bag was this set of notebooks - such pretty covers. One has lined paper, one has grid paper and the other is a planner. Plus a set of three coordinating pens.

Also inside was this little cross body bag/wallet - so useful!!

There was also a stamp set in the bag - more of that later. Before that, have a look at this brilliant tool case - again sporting the new Stampin' Up! floral livery.

I think was my favourite gift of the day - it is going to be so useful! This is the inside - lots of pockets and slots to keep things safe.

One of the traditions of On Stage is Prize Patrol - we are all given a badge with a number and during the day a number is chosen and everyone with that number wins a prize. The tool case was given away in an all attendee Prize Patrol meaning that everyone received one. Then later, in another all attendee Prize Patrol we received this Zip Around Tote - here is is zipped away.

And unzipped - good eh? It is huge and waterproof I think which is a bonus!

And here are the stamp sets I receive - one in the canvas tote, one as an all Attendee Prixze Patrol, one as my (No 6) Prize Patrol and one from the collection of crafting products we had used during the day. This year Stampin' Up! have relaxed their spoiler policy so I am allowed to show you them!

And of course, last but not least we received our copies of the new Spring/Summer 19 catalogue along with the 2019 Saleabration catalogue. Such excitement accompanied these being given out!

There were a few other bits and pieces I haven't yet mentioned - a stamp pad, some Tombow glue, some lengths of new ribbons and five Make and Take projects.

I've made a very quick video to show you some of these products in more detail so do have a peek if you have time. Just click HERE or on the image below:

Hope you enjoyed seeing all these! If you think you'd like to come to the next On Stage, in April and join in the fun, then all you have to do is join my team. Just get in touch and I'd be happy to have an informal chat with you.
