Ink, Stamp, Share January Blog Hop - New Spring/Summer and Sale-a-Bration catalogues

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today and welcome also to to the first Ink Stamp Share monthly blog hop of the year 2021. Today our challenge was to use products from the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Mini catalogue and/or the Saleabration promotion catalogue.

In the new mini catalogue, there are some gorgeous packs of patterned papers (DSP) and one of my favourites is the Hydrangea Hill pack - such pretty colours of lilac and blue in this pack. For my project I decided to use just a little bit of one of the sheets as the main feature.

I used the "Just for You" sentiment from the Meant to Be stamp set and stamped it directly onto the DSP with black Memento ink.

Such a simple little card but oh so pretty. I added a little strip of paper from another sheet in the pack inside my card.

I have made a video tutorial if you would like to watch how I put my card together. You can watch it by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

You will see on the video that the stamping didn't go quite to plan and when I came off camera I decided I needed to do something about it. Another occasion to bring my favourite mantra to bear:

So I decided to re-stamp the sentiment and punch it out to cover up my mistake!

I used the Tailored Tag and cut an extra label from Highland Heather
which I cut in half horizontally to make the border.

I hope you like my card today. There are so many other fabulous projects for you to see on the hop. Rochelle Laird-Smith is next up.

Just in case you get lost mid hop, here is the complete roll call of everyone taking part today. Why not make a cuppa and settle down to be inspired by all these talented people?

Bye for now, back soon,

InspireINK January blog hop - Everything's New!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today and welcome also to the InspireINK blog hop for January. And to celebrate the arrival of the new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer mini catalogue and with it, the fabulous Saleabration promotion, our theme for this month is "Everything's New". Sadly, a lot of the products I have ordered from the new catalogue are still finding their way to me, my parcel is a casualty of the combined forces of the pandemic and Brexit. So for my project today I used a set I have been enjoying a lot - the Pretty Perennials.

I started by stamping some of the smaller flowers onto Highland Heather card stock.

I stamped and then die cut some of the flowers in Gorgeous Grape and some leaves in Granny Apple Green.

I used a small strip of DSP from the True Love pack and a sentiment from Beauty Abounds.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my card. There are so many other fabulous projects for you to see. Just click on the blue box below to see all the links to the other blogs taking part.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. And welcome also to the first Stampin' Dreams blog hop of 2021. And in the spirit of it being a new year and new month, with a new catalogue and new Saleabration promotion from Stampin' Up!, our theme this month is "What's New".

If you are a regular follower of my blog you'll know that one of my favourite stamp sets from the Saleabration brochure (which can be earned for FREE with an order of £90+, is A Touch of Ink.

I have already brought you projects using the flowers and the butterfly so today it is the turn of the humming bird!

I coloured the images with our Watercolor Pencils - Gorgeous Grape, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green. I then went over the colouring with one of out Blender pens.

The stripy lilac patterned paper I have used is from a pack called Hydrangea Hill.

I hope you like my card - it was very calming to do a little bit of colouring!

Please carry on hopping around all the other links listed below. Some truly fabulous projects for you to see and be inspired by! Back soon.

The Project Share Project Jan 21st 2021

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. As I posted this I was looking at our header photograph. It is getting quite old now and under normal circumstances we would have had several events which we all attended to give us a chance to update it. Hopefully we will be able to get together to do just that at some point this year!

For today's post, I have once again chosen three fabulous projects to show you and inspire you.  Verity of Inky Butterfly, is like me and finding it difficult to put down the Pretty Perennials set. She has made this lovely card using our new blending brushes to create her background.

Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card by CLICKING HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie. Heather has used the Berry Delightful DSP and matching stamp set (get them bot FREE with an order of £90+) to make this pretty gift bag.

Pop over to Heather's blog to see more by CLICKING HERE.

And last for today we are back to Pretty Perennials with Gez of Nigezza.co.uk. Gez has used the dies that match the Pretty Perennials stamp set - Perennial Petals - and made this lovely card with no stamping.

You can read all about Gez's project over on her blog HERE.

And that is another Project Share complete. I can't believe how quickly these weeks come round! Do join me again next Thursday for more inspiration from these wonderful ladies!
