Fancy Fold Stepped Easel Card Video Tutorial

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am bringing you the video tutorial of the fancy fold card I brought you the other day. And of course I made it in different colours on the video. This time it is a return to form for me - back to Brights! And how bright is this?

I know that Magenta Madness is a bit of a Marmite colour - either love it or hate it. So there'll probably be a fair few of you who are not keen on this but I love it.

I added Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green to the Magenta Madness.

I made this card into a Get Well card to add to my stash - I'm sure these colours would cheer anyone up who is feeling under the weather. The greeting is again from the Timeless Tulips stamp set.

Here are both cards together. I know I made the right choice of colours with the Mother's Day card - the pastels are much more my mum's thing!

And now, what you've all been waiting for. If you'd like to see the video tutorial you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

And if you need them, here are the measurements:

Card Blank - 11ins x 5.5ins:
Cut at one inch from each side from 4.4ins to 10ins
Score the two side panels (not the centre panel) at 4.5ins, 9ins and 10ins.
Score the centre panel at 5.5ins
Patterned paper panels:
2 x 4.5ins x 3/4ins for the sides
3 1/4ins x 4 1/4ins for the centre panel
5 1/4ins x 3/4ins for the bottom panel

Hope you enjoy this project.

Bye for now, back soon,

Project Share Project - March 4th

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. Today I have chosen three wonderful projects for you, beginning with Verity of Inky Butterfly who has made this lovely card  with the Hydrangea Haven stamp set and coordinating dies. Such a pretty colour. And did you spot the layer of Mercury Glass Acetate  - so gorgeous.

Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card by CLICKING HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie. Heather has made such a lovely Mother's Day using one of the Gold Hoop embellishments and die cut flowers from the Wreath Builder set.

Pop over to Heather's blog to read more about her card by CLICKING HERE.

And last for today is Gez. Gez has been busy making gifts of covered notebooks for her customers. She used the Playful Alphabet and one of the free sets of papers from Saleabration. Sadly no longer available now that Saleabration is over! Aren't these great though and could be made with any DSP?

You can read all about Gez's project over on her blog HERE.

And that is another Project Share complete. I can't believe how quickly these weeks come round! Do join me again next Thursday for more inspiration from these wonderful ladies!

#36 Card Making for Beginners - Hand Stamped One Sheet Wonder

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. And welcome too to the next part (No 36!!)in my Card Making for Beginners series. Today we are going to be making a "One Sheet Wonder". This is where you take a full sheet of DSP (patterned paper) or hand stamp a whole sheet of card stock and then cut it into pieces to make a whole stack of cards. It is a really quick and easy way to make a whole load of cards. I decided to go with the handstamped version today.

I started off with a sheet of Basic White card stock and, using the Pretty Perennials stamp set, I stamped a kind of rough cross shape on the card.

I then cut the card stock up into four panels.

And then mounted each panel (after a little bit of trimming) onto coordinating card blanks, added a sentiment on each and ta dah! I had four pretty cards in super quick time.

On the video I changed the colours a little, substituting Coastal Cabana for the Highland Heather flowers.

It is a great idea to make these cards up without sentiments - then when you need a card in a hurry for a particular occasion, you can just add on the appropriate message.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project. Do you think you might give it a try?
