Double Z card with First Frost

Hello crafters,

Today I'm bringing rather a fancy card for me. As you'' be aware I'm normally a very clean and simple girl and this card is a bit "busy" for my usual style. As well as that it is a "fancy fold" card with what is known a "double-Z fold". It was designed by Michelle Last, who is my second level upline and it was one of the Make and Takes at our recent team training day.

First Frost by Stampin Up

I have changed it up a little from the original design - Michelle did hers portrait but I have turned it round to make it landscape.

First Frost by Stampin Up

Although its not really my style, I do love this card. The colour combination is just gorgeous - Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party and Coastal Cabana.

I don't have the First Frost stamp set so I did all the stamping at the training day, but then completed the card at home.

And then I decided to make another one, using a different stamp set - you'll have to come back tomorrow to see that one along with a video tutorial showing how I made it!

Project Share Project - Christmas is Coming!

Hello everyone,

Thursday again so time for me to showcase some of the beautiful projects made by my teamies. This week I have chosen Christmas projects. I know it might still seem early to some but it will be here before you know it!

First up today is Verity from Inky Butterfly who has used one of my favourite bundles from the Autumn/Winter catalogue - the Beautiful Blizzard bundle.

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin Up

I love this soft combination of Whisper White and Pool Party with a little bit of Night of Navy stamping. Please pop over and see more on Verity's blog HERE.

Heather, from Stamp With Nellie has also used this bundle but she has created this lovely Christmas decoration.

See more HERE.

And lastly today is a project from Gez of Nigezza Creates. We had a little bit of a laugh about this project - on exactly the same day we both posted very similar projects featuring boxes which contained the exact same chocolate bars. However Gez's were wrapped in Christmas paper which mine wasn't!

I'll be back next week with more projects from these ladies and tomorrow with another of my own projects!

Merry and bright rainbow Christmas trees!

Hey everyone,

Welcome to my blog today and thanks for dropping in. Today's project is another Christmas card but with a bit of a difference - rainbow Christmas trees!!

Merry Christmas to All and Foxy Friends

What do you think? Does it work? I really love it - might not be traditional but who says Christmas can only be red and green?

Merry Christmas to All and Foxy Friends from Stampin Up

As I say in the video below, if you can't get on board with the rainbow colour scheme, you could always make the same design in a more traditional selection. Are you wondering which Christmas set has that Christmas tree in it? Well, it is not a Christmas set at all but the Foxy Friends set.

And if you'd like to see how I made this card you can watch my video HERE or by clicking the image below:

Back soon - please drop in again!

More Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone,

Do you remember these cards I posted about a few days ago?

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

It seems a lot of you liked them (as do I!!). When I was designing these cards, I made a few versions before arriving at the one that I finally went with. I thought I'd show you today one of the others so you can see which you prefer!

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin Up

At first glance the cards look similar but there are some differences. Instead of sponging the background I watercoloured it in Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushel. The snowflakes were die cut from Whisper White, rather than silver and I then layered three snowflakes on top of each other to make it thicker. You might be able to see better in this close up.

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

I also didn't do any border stamping with the snowflake stamp. So a similar, yet different card.

If you have time to leave a comment, do let me know what you think! I love reading all your comments.

And if you missed my original video tutorial, here it is again!

Have a great Sunday everyone!
