Jill & Gez Go Crafting - June 21st

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another "Jill and Gez Go Crafting" when myself and my good friend Gez give each other a bit of exposure on our blogs.

Gez has an amazing blog with loads of fabulous inspiration and really detailed tutorials - just hop over to https://www.nigezza.co.uk/. And also a brilliant YouTube channel which you can view HERE

Today I am starting with this stunning card which Gez made for a blog hop with a theme of "Fun Folds".

Gez remade this card but with very different products and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of it - as a congratulations for my 5 years with Stampin' Up! I'll show you that version another day!

Pop over to Gez's blog to see how she made it by CLICKING HERE.

Next is this pretty little card using one of my favourite bundles from the new Annual Catalogue - Flowers of Friendship.

This card was made for a colour challenge, so maybe not the colours Gez might have chosen, but I love the simplicity of the layout. Read all about this cute project by CLICKING HERE

Lastly for today, Gez made this card (and several other almost identical ones) for a One Sheet Wonder blog hop. She has used the beautiful Expressions In Ink DSP. I must admit I haven't been able to bring myself to cut into mine yet!

See more about this lovely project by CLICKING HERE.

Hope you've enjoyed seeing Gez's projects today and that you'll pop over to see her fabulous blog. I'll be back with more from Gez in two weeks!

Cocktails by the Pool card - video tutorial

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am bringing you the video tutorial for a card I brought you a few days ago - this one.

This was made for a blog hop with a theme of Splish Splash and you will need to watch the video to see how I made those turquoise waves to evoke a swimming pool or waves lapping on a beach.

The card I make on the video, unusually for me(!) is almost exactly the same as the original. All I did was change the sentiment to "Happy Birthday".

So without further delay, you can watch the video by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

That's all for today. Short and sweet!

Bye for now, back soon,

Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop - CASE the catty!

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me.

My second blog hop of the day (they are a bit like buses!!) and this time it is the Ink, Stamp, Share blog hop for June with a theme of "CASE the Catty". I am often asked what it means to "CASE" a project. Well, there are a few interpretations. The one I prefer is it it means to choose a project from another designer and to "Copy And Selectively Edit" but another interpretation is "Copy and Share Everything". Today I have gone for the latter although the changes I have made are fairly minimal. Here is the page in the catalogue that I was inspired by.

I decided to have a look through the catalogue for a project that inspired me and I didn't get very far. This was on page 3!! The project that I chose to work with is the one on the top right.

I changed up a few small details. My card is bit bigger than the sample card and I have mounted it onto a Basic White card blank. I also changed the butterfly and the sentiment.

I hope you like my project and that our blog hop today might inspire you to have a look through the catalogue and be inspired by some of the amazing samples in there.

There are many more inspirational posts for you to see on this hop. Please click on the NEXT button to carry on hopping! This will take you to Victoria Littlewood who I'm sure has an amazing project for you.

Thanks so much for joining me today.

InspireInk Monthly Blog Hop - One Sheet Wonder

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. It is time once again for the InspireInk monthly blog hop and for June our theme is "One Sheet Wonder".

If you've never come across that term before it is a technique used to create a set of several cards from just one sheet of patterned paper (or DSP!). It is a great way to create a whole heap of cards in a flash.
For my One Sheet Wonder today, I used a 12" x 12" sheet of patterned paper from the You're a Peach DSP pack (pg 134 in the Annual catalogue). Just a heads up, if you are a DSP lover, we have a very special offer coming up in July!

In all, as you can see, I managed to make 11 cards from my one sheet of paper along with 6 sheets of card stock and a few scraps to do the punching and diecuts.

The colours in the DSP include Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral and Petal Pink so I decided to use those colours along with, of course, Basic White.

Apart from the DSP and cardstock, all I needed to complete my cards were some diecut stitched scallop borders for which I used a die from the Penned Flowers dies, the Double Oval punch, the Vine Design stamp set for the sentiments and a couple of inkpads in Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral.

These were really quick to make. I hope you might feel inspired to have a go!.

But meanwhile, please keep hopping around all the other links (by clicking on the blue box below). Some amazing OSWs for you to see.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

I hope you have enjoyed our hop today.
