2021 Desk Calendars with Hydrangea Hill

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I am showing you some little desk calendars I made earlier this month. This post is a bit later in the month than I had originally planned but not too late, I hope, if you want to make one yourself.

I have made calendars similar to these for several years now. I myself find it very helpful to have one sitting on a shelf in my craft room for easy reference - this year I have had one made for me by one of my lovely team. This year I have made loads of these little calendars - some for my lovely customers who shopped with me in December and some for some friends and fellow Stampin' Up! demos - including the lovely ladies in our Project Share group. However, sadly, I know that at least two never arrived (Royal Mail, I hear, are still in a bit of a muddle after the Christmas rush and with many staff off sick with Covid) so today I need to make a couple more and get them posted off.

I made several different versions of these calendars, using various different colour combinations of cardstock which all coordinated with the patterned papers I used - Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray. The DSP (patterned paper) is from a pack called Hydrangea Hill - such pretty colours. Of course, in my haste to get them sent off promptly, I forgot to take photos of all the different variations. Just have this one left to show you.

I used the numerals from Family Party to stamp the 2021 on this calendar but on some others I also cut the numbers out with the Playful Alphabet dies.

Would you like to see how I made my calendar? You can watch my video tutorial by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

If you need them, here are the measurements.

METRIC

Base - 29.7cm (full length of A4) x 9cm

Score at 11.75cm, 23.5cm, 26cm, 28cm

Card matt - 8cm x 10.5cm

DSP - 7cm x 4.5cm

IMPERIAL

Card matt - 4 1/8" x 3 1/8"

DSP - 2 3/4" x 1 3/4"

By the way, I always get asked, so I will say it here - I purchased the calendar tabs on Ebay. Just search "2021 calendar tabs" - they can be bought in all sorts of quantities. Mine measure 7.2cm x 4.7cm.

Bye for now, back soon,

Did you miss this stamp set in the new mini catalogue?

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. I am hoping that you have all now had a chance to see the new mini catalogue?

If not, you can request a copy by filling in the "Catalogue Request" form from the tab at the top of this page. I'd be happy to pop a copy in the post to you. Or you can view the PDF version by CLICKING HERE.

Did you catch Stampin' Up's introductory video to the catalogue? Watch it here if not!

As I was browsing through the catalogue for about the 100th time the other evening, I noticed a something that had previously passed me by and I realised that you may have missed it too. It is called the SUITE SAMPLER HOST STAMP SET. Turn to page 88 to see it. When you place an order of £150 or more, you start to earn Stampin’ Rewards that can be used toward your choice of products – you can spend your Stampin’ Rewards on anything, including price-reduced stamp sets that are exclusive to hosts (or big buyers). The Suite Sampler stamp set is one of those sets. Here’s what the Suite Sampler stamp set looks like:

It has a £20 value but is available to "purchase" for only £12.00 in Stampin' Rewards. It is so well hidden at the back of Stampin’ Up!’s January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue that unless it’s been pointed out to you, you, like me, might have missed it.

If you haven’t already guessed, this set is a mix of several different suites in the catalogue to give you a little "taster".  The images include accompaniments to the following:

  • Sand & Sea Suite
  • Hydrangea Hill Suite
  • Dandy Garden Suite
  • Fine Art Floral Suite
  • Ice Cream Corner Suite (dots between leaves and hydrangea)
  • Love You Always Suite (sprig between the shell and dragonfly)
So had you noticed it? Or maybe it was just me! I know that now I've noticed it, it will definitely be on my next order.

Bye for now, back soon,

The Project Share Project - January 14th

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. Today I have chosen three wonderful projects for you.

Both Gez and Heather have been creating great packaging for chocolate treats. First off today is Gez who has made these great little envelope treat pouches for After 8's. So simple to make and such pretty colours.

You can read all about Gez's project and watch her video tutorial, over on her blog HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie. Heather has made this pretty box which is just the right size for a pack of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. Who wouldn't love to receive a gift like this?

Heather has used some of the papers from a pack
- Paper Blooms - that can be earned for FREE with a £45+ order during Saleabration - aren't they lovely?
Pop over to Heather's blog to read more by CLICKING HERE.

Lastly today is Verity of Inky Butterfly who has made this lovely card using another set of FREE Saleabration papers - Flower and Field.

Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card, and see lots of samples with other patterns from the same pack by CLICKING HERE.

And that is another Project Share complete. I can't believe how quickly these weeks come round! Do join me again next Thursday for more inspiration from these wonderful ladies!

Basic White Products are now available

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today I just want to update you on some product information from Stampin' Up!. As you may have read on my blog previously, the paper mill which made all our Whisper White cardstock and other products went out of business just before Christmas (another casualty of the Covid-19 pandemic). Stampin' Up! were given very little notice of this and had to act quickly to source alternative products to replace them and which still meet their very high quality standards. And they have managed to do so.

The new products will be called Basic White and, although I haven't seen any of the products myself, I have it on very good authority that they are great replacements for Whisper White. Still the very, very smooth card stock we have come to love. The only difference I have heard about is that the Basic White is a very slightly more blue-white than Whisper White but that the difference is actually very subtle. There has been a short delay between the Whisper White products going out of stock and the Basic White ones being available but I am pleased to report that the following products are now available.

BASIC WHITE PRODUCTS

    • BASIC WHITE A4 CARDSTOCK (159228)
    • BASIC WHITE A4 THICK CARDSTOCK (159230)
    • BASIC WHITE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) CARDSTOCK (159231)
    • BASIC WHITE C6 ENVELOPES (159235)
    • BASIC WHITE 3" X 3" (7.6 X 7.6 CM) ENVELOPES (159233)
As soon as I get any of the Basic White products in my hands I will report back on my thoughts.

Meanwhile, have a great day.
