Project Share Project - Christmas is Coming!

Hello everyone,

Thursday again so time for me to showcase some of the beautiful projects made by my teamies. This week I have chosen Christmas projects. I know it might still seem early to some but it will be here before you know it!

First up today is Verity from Inky Butterfly who has used one of my favourite bundles from the Autumn/Winter catalogue - the Beautiful Blizzard bundle.

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin Up

I love this soft combination of Whisper White and Pool Party with a little bit of Night of Navy stamping. Please pop over and see more on Verity's blog HERE.

Heather, from Stamp With Nellie has also used this bundle but she has created this lovely Christmas decoration.

See more HERE.

And lastly today is a project from Gez of Nigezza Creates. We had a little bit of a laugh about this project - on exactly the same day we both posted very similar projects featuring boxes which contained the exact same chocolate bars. However Gez's were wrapped in Christmas paper which mine wasn't!

Pop over to Gez's blog HERE to see more about her project.

I'll be back next week with more projects from these ladies and tomorrow with another of my own projects!

Merry and bright rainbow Christmas trees!

Hey everyone,

Welcome to my blog today and thanks for dropping in. Today's project is another Christmas card but with a bit of a difference - rainbow Christmas trees!!

Merry Christmas to All and Foxy Friends

What do you think? Does it work? I really love it - might not be traditional but who says Christmas can only be red and green?

Merry Christmas to All and Foxy Friends from Stampin Up

As I say in the video below, if you can't get on board with the rainbow colour scheme, you could always make the same design in a more traditional selection. Are you wondering which Christmas set has that Christmas tree in it? Well, it is not a Christmas set at all but the Foxy Friends set.

And if you'd like to see how I made this card you can watch my video HERE or by clicking the image below:

More Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

Hi everyone,

Do you remember these cards I posted about a few days ago?

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

It seems a lot of you liked them (as do I!!). When I was designing these cards, I made a few versions before arriving at the one that I finally went with. I thought I'd show you today one of the others so you can see which you prefer!

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin Up

At first glance the cards look similar but there are some differences. Instead of sponging the background I watercoloured it in Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushel. The snowflakes were die cut from Whisper White, rather than silver and I then layered three snowflakes on top of each other to make it thicker. You might be able to see better in this close up.

Beautiful Blizzard from Stampin' Up!

I also didn't do any border stamping with the snowflake stamp. So a similar, yet different card.

If you have time to leave a comment, do let me know what you think! I love reading all your comments.

And if you missed my original video tutorial, here it is again!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Jill & Gez Go Crafting - No 3 - More projects from Gez!

Hello there,

Another Monday and another chance for me to show you some lovely projects made by my good friend Gez, aka Nigezza.

Firstly I'd like to show you this fabulous card which Gez made for her son's recent birthday. So many elements to this card and a fancy fold too! This is known as a "Double-Z" card - I have also made one of these and will be showing you mine soon (although very different to Gez's).

Bubble Over from Stampin' Up!
So many elements to this card and a fancy fold too! This is known as a "Double-Z" card - I have also made one of these and will be showing you mine soon (although very different to Gez's.) And I love the colour scheme Gez has chosen to use - Dapper Denim (now sadly retired) and Tranquil Tide.

The second of Gez's projects I'm showing today is a gift bag - or rather two gift bags!

Joyous Noel gift bags from Stampin Up
We made a version of this gift bag at a recent team training event but Gez has resized it to make it smaller and then resized it again to make an even smaller one. She has used Merry Merlot and patterned paper from the Joyous Noel pack. So festive!

Lastly for today is this card:

Petal Promenade One Sheet Wonder from Stampin Up

This card is actually part of a set that Gez made as part of a "Half Sheet Wonder". If you're not familiar with that phrase, it means that you take a sheet (or in this case half a sheet!) of patterned paper, cut it up and use the pieces to make as many cards as you can. Gez even gives you the cutting template, so do pop over her blog to take a look - just click on any of the photos to get to her blog.

Broadway Bound Gold Foiled table favours

Hi everyone,

How are you today? As I write this we are having a bit of an Indian Summer here in the UK. However, I fear that by the time it is published, the warm weather will have departed and the autumn will well and truly be here!

Today's project is this cute little table favour. Each one holds a little round Elizabeth Shaw mint chocolate (you can see it on the video!).

Broadway bound table favours by stampin up

I made these as little gifts for the people on my table at a recent team training event. So quick and easy to make but looks great and could be changed to make it appropriate for any occasion - Christmas, wedding, baby shower? The possibilities are endless!

I made 6 of these altogether and it took me an hour at the most.

Broadway bound table favours - wedding, baby, Christmas

And you could make 12 of these from one sheet of 12" x 12" patterned paper or cardstock. So economical too.

You can see just how easy they are to make here on by watching my video tutorial HERE or by clicking on the image below:

Hope you enjoyed today's project and will have a go at making your own. The measurements you'll need are:

METRIC
Strip of DSP measuring 15 cm x 5 cm
Score at 7 cm and 8 cm
Ribbon - 12 cm

IMPERIAL
Strip of DSP measuring 6 ins x 2 ins
Score at 2 3/4 ins x 3 1/4 ins
Ribbon - 4 3/4 ins

Have fun!!

Back soon with more craftiness,
