Delightful Daisy week - Day 4

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of my Delightful daisy week. I hope you've been enjoying the projects so far?

Today's project is this set of little cards in lovely bright colours.

These little cards measure 12cm square (or 4.75ins) and I've used our Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card blanks. The coloured squares measure 4cm (or 1.5ins) and I have rounded opposite corners of each of them using the envelope punch board. The only little bit of stamping on this card is centre of the daisy.

If you'd like to see in more detail how I made my cards, pop over to YouTube and watch my video HERE.

And here are the cards in close up. Once again the blue/green combination is my favourite!

I'll be back again tomorrow with a gift bag which co-ordinates with these cards and makes a lovely card/gift combination. Here's a sneak preview!

Bye for now,

Jill

Delightful Daisy week - Day 3

Hi everyone,

Continuing with my week of daisy themed projects, something a bit different today. A very good friend, colleague and customer of mine, Ann, sent me this photo of a card she had made using the Delightful Daisy bundle of stamp set and punch. And I just had to show you.

Such a pretty card. Not all the products Ann has used are from Stampin' Up! but she has made such clever use of that pretty background paper, by echoing elements of it in her bunch of daisies. I love the way she has replicated the little stems of lavender and linked some of the daisies using the same pink as the ones on the paper.

Hope you'll all agree, this is a fantastic project. I just had to include it in my "daisy week".

Please come back tomorrow for some more daisy fun - and a video tutorial.

Bye til then,

Jill

Delightful Daisy week - Day 2

Hi everyone and welcome to Day 2 of a whole week of projects featuring the Delightful Daisy suite.

Today's project is a little box, made using the dies from Window Box Thinlits.

How cute is that hexagonal box - and its so easy to make using the dies. Just cut two of the largest dies, fold and burnish the tabs where the scorelines are and glue!

This photo of the dies is a little deceptive as all the little decorative panels are separate dies so it is easy to cut just a plain box! I have to admit, I haven't used this die set nearly enough and have added it to my list of things to use more!

My box was cut from Night of Navy card and each side decorated with a panel of paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series patterned paper pack. On the lid is a daisy, stamped in Daffodil Yellow onto Whisper White card.

The box is big enough to hold a whole range of little gifts. Mine held a candle, but chocolates or sweets would be a good choice too!

And here is my box with the co-ordinating cards I showed you yesterday!

Don't forget that the new Autumn/Winter catalogue goes live on Friday 1st September. If you don't have a copy and would like one just let me know and I'll pop a free copy in the post to you (just click "Contact" at the top of the page for my email and phone number!)

That's it for today - back tomorrow with more delightful daisies!

Stampin' Up! Delightful Daisy week - Day 1

Hi everyone,

As you have hopefully realised from today's title, all this week I am going to featuring projects made with the Delightful Daisy suite of products. I was planning to do this in June, but then the Daisy Punch was so much more popular than had been anticipated by anyone and ended up being out of stock for weeks! So later than planned, now that the punch has been back in stock for a while, I thought I'd run my week of projects now. I'll be posting every day this week, each day featuring a different project made using this suite, to hopefully showcase to you how versatile it is.

And here is today's project - or rather projects!

I just love this colour combination of Whisper White, Daffodil Yellow and Night of Navy. All of the samples shown use patterned paper from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper pack.

There are some really pretty designs in this pack of paper but for today's cards I have pulled out the two in Night of Navy.

And of course I have used the Daisy Punch and the large daisy image from the Daisy Delight stamp set.

You can also glimpse some of the other products from the Delightful Daisy suite if I show you the cards in close up.

Can you spot that pretty Double Stitched ribbon in Daffodil Delight?

Or that beautiful Faceted Gem?

That's all for today but please come back tomorrow and all this week for more daisy projects! Or better still, subscribe to my blog to receive a notification by email every time I post - sign up is on the right of this page.

See you tomorrow,

Jill
