You may remember back in September I talked about a training weekend I had attended with other members of the Pootlers team. At these events we have so much fun and one of the highlights is crafting together. This time we were provided with inspiration and materials for 5 projects and this was one of them.
Can you believe it has taken til now for me to get round to finishing it! This was the project provided by our team leader Sam, who had been inspired in turn by Dawn Griffiths. I have changed the project quite a bit but have kept the essence which is the technique used on the birds. Have a closer look:
I am calling this "Stained glass effect coloured glitter" and in real life it is lovely. As you can see, I made it in several colourways. As well as showing off the technique, it also gives me a chance to show you just how well all our products coordinate - we have patterned paper, card stock, colouring with blends and ink - and they all match perfectly!
I have made a video to show you how I made the card which you can watch HERE or by clicking on the image below.
Card blank - 21cm x 15cm, score at 10.5cm
DSP - 4.5 cm x 15cm
Scallop circle -7 cm diameter
White circle - 6 cm diameter
Card blank - 8 1/4 ins x 6 ins, score at 4 1/8 ins
DSP - 1 3/4 ins x 6 ins
Scallop circle - 2 3/4 ins diameter
White circle - 2 3/8 ins diameter
Now I'm looking at all my stamp sets to see which ones would suit this technique,
