Self Closing Snowflake Gift Box - Video Tutorial

Hi everyone,

How are we all doing? I hope you've had a great weekend whatever you were up to. Apart from anything else, I participated in two blog hops and today I am bringing you a video tutorial for one of the projects I showcased.

This was a self closing gift box made for the Stamp N Hop blog hop where our theme was 3D projects.

To make the box you need to start with a piece of card stock (or DSP) measuring 8.5 inches x 6 inches. I used Balmy Blue.
With the short side at the top, score at 1 inch and 5 inches. Turn the cardstock 90 degrees and score at 4 inches and 8 inches. The diagram below shows where the diagonal score lines (dotted lines) should go and where to cut (solid lines).

It is probably easiest to use the diagram in conjunction with watching the video which you can do by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

To make your box you will also need some embossed Whisper White  ` card - a square of 3 7/8 inches and a strip 13/16 inch and 3 13/16 inches.
The snowflake embellishment is made with three different sized snowflakes from the So Many Snowflakes die set. The largest one is in Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, the others from Silver Foil and Whisper White. They are layered up with Dimensionals and finished with a Blue Adhesive Backed Gem. The bow is tied with a length of Snowflake Spendor 1/4 inch ribbon.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this project and that you might have a go at making your own - do let me know how you get on.
