Come Crafting with Jill & Gez Facebook Live Replay - Leaves and Trees

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Yesterday, being the first Saturday of the month, it was time once again for Gez and I to do our Live Crafting session over in our Facebook group - Come Crafting with Jill and Gez. Our theme for the session this month was Leaves and Trees and by coincidence (we don't liaise about this, honest!) Gez and I both decided to showcase an ink technique. I used the "baby wipe" technique for my card, which consists of using layers of baby wipes onto which drops of reinkers are dripped to create a multicoloured temporary stamp pad. 

Here is the card I made on camera:

You can see on the video how I created the background using the fern stamp from the Positive Thoughts stamp set. The inspiration for this card came from a Make and Take project I made at a team event way back in February 2020, before all the virus craziness began! The original project was made by Michelle Last. 

As always, before we recorded the video, I "practised" by making a prototype. I decided to go with a brighter colourway but wasn't sure it really worked so reverted to a more subtle version for the video.

I stamped a message inside the card too - I love this little sentiment from Pansy Patch.
