Rainbow card for Stampin' for All Design Team challenge with video tutorial

Hi everyone,

Yesterday over on the Stampin' for All Facebook group (CLICK HERE if you'd like to join in) it was the lovely Helzie's turn to pose the Monday challenge. And the challenge this week is to use Rainbow Colours. Some of you might know about my love affair with rainbows so I knew I'd have to enter this one.

Well written Stampin' Up!

Here is my card and it makes me so happy - I love it! I love the word dies in the Well Written die set and combining the "happy" repeatedly in rainbow colours makes my heart sing!

Well written Stampin' Up!

Would you like to see how I made my card? I've made a video tutorial for you. You can watch it by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

As you'll see I chose different colours for the card I make on the video - lots of pretty blues and greens.

Well written Stampin' Up!

I think this one could be more suitable for a male recipient.

Video Tutorial for "Just Because" Paper Pieced Card

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I shared my entry for the InspireINK monthly blog hop which was this card, for which I used the paper piecing technique.

Just Because Stampin Up!

My colours were chosen as part of a colour challenge and were not my first choice - although once I'd made the card I was quite pleased with how it turned out. But when I cam to remake the card for a video tutorial I decided to change up the colours to some which were more of my choosing. First this one using Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Grapefruit Grove.

Just Because Stampin Up

And then this one in the same colours, but used differently.

Just Because Stampin Up

I'm so sad that these little Bitty Blooms Punches have now sold out and no longer available. If you want to make the card and don't already have them , I'm afraid you'll have to find an alternative!

Anyway here are all three cards together:

Just Because Stampin Up

I have to say I love revisiting the paper piecing technique. My card was inspired by this one from Karen at KKCardCraft.

If you'd like to see how I made my card, you can watch my video tutorial by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

So here are the measurements you'll need if you'd like to make one:

Hope you'll have a go!

InspireInk April Blog Hop - Colour Challenge

InspireInk blog hop Stampin' Up!

Hello everyone and welcome to our monthly InspireInk blog hop. This month we have been given a colour challenge in the form of a Tic Tac Toe. The idea is to choose a vertical, horizontal or diagonal line and use those colours in our projects. Some interesting combinations in there!
InspireInk colour challenge

I chose to go with the vertical line on the right hand side - Granny Apple Green, So Saffron and Mossy Meadow. I used the Just Because hostess stamp set and paper pieced the leaves and pots with patterned papers.

Just Because Stampin Up

The little flowers are punched with the Bitty Bloom Punch pack - sadly now completely sold out and no longer available - I'm so sad about this.

Just Because Stampin Up

I don't think I would have thought about adding the Mossy Green border unless I was following this colour challenge but I love how it has turned out.

Hope you like it too. Please carry on clicking on the link below to see all the other amazing entries into our Blog Hop.
