Bright and colourful thank you card with Rainbow Glimmer Paper

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. How are you all? I have a bright and colourful thank you card to show you today, using our lovely Rainbow Glimmer Paper - so pleased to see this carrying over into the new catalogue!

My card also uses some products that will be leaving us soon - a week today in fact, so if you are thinking of adding any of these to your stash, please don't miss out. The lovely Well Written dies, which I have used for the thank you message, will be discontinued as well as the Confetti Flower Border punch, which I used to punch out the tiny flowers.

I coloured some of our Basic Rhinestones with a selection of blends (watch the video to see which ones!) in bright colours - such a great way to ensure you having gems to coordinate with any project.

I originally made my card in black instead of white, but it didn't really work as well.

For a start, the colours did not "pop" against the black as much as I had expected. And secondly, I didn't take such care with the placement and I'm really unhappy with how wonky the coloured strips are. But showing you the card anyway so you know what not to do! I much prefer the white one!

I have of course made a video to show you how to make the card so if you would like to watch, you can do so by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

I hope you like my card today - it makes me smile as it is so bright and cheerful!

Bye for now, back soon,

The Project Share Project Jan 21st 2021

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. As I posted this I was looking at our header photograph. It is getting quite old now and under normal circumstances we would have had several events which we all attended to give us a chance to update it. Hopefully we will be able to get together to do just that at some point this year!

For today's post, I have once again chosen three fabulous projects to show you and inspire you.  Verity of Inky Butterfly, is like me and finding it difficult to put down the Pretty Perennials set. She has made this lovely card using our new blending brushes to create her background.

Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card by CLICKING HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie. Heather has used the Berry Delightful DSP and matching stamp set (get them bot FREE with an order of £90+) to make this pretty gift bag.

Pop over to Heather's blog to see more by CLICKING HERE.

And last for today we are back to Pretty Perennials with Gez of Nigezza.co.uk. Gez has used the dies that match the Pretty Perennials stamp set - Perennial Petals - and made this lovely card with no stamping.

You can read all about Gez's project over on her blog HERE.

And that is another Project Share complete. I can't believe how quickly these weeks come round! Do join me again next Thursday for more inspiration from these wonderful ladies!

All the products I have used to make this project are all available from my online shop. Stamp Around Uk January Video Hop - Winter Birthdays

Hi everyone, Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. And welcome also to the Stamp Around UK Video Hop. As usual, on the first day of the month, I am hopping with friends and team mates all of whom are Stampin' Up! demos here in the UK. And our theme for this month is:

Winter Birthdays

As I explain in my video, for me, Winter Birthday translates into Male Birthdays, as most of the men in my life have their birthdays in the early part of the year - two nephews, brother in law, husband.....
So I decided to go with a male themed card. I did try to use chilly colours to make it fit more with the theme!

I had previously made a rainbow version of this card, which would be more suitable for a female - in fact I sent this one to my niece!

I also experimented with other colours and varying the designs - which was very simple to do, once you have the basic layout - to make it even more "male".

To watch my video and join in with the video hop just CLICK HERE or on the image below:

And here are the links you need to hop around the other YouTube channels.
