Rainbow Christmas Trees - Take 3 - Video Tutorial

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me.
Today I am bringing you a card which was inspired by a design I have made over the past two years and is still one of my favourites. Rainbow trees!! Here is today's card, made using the Coming Home stamp set and Home Together dies (both of which will be retiring on January 4th):

I first embossed the front of my card with the Dainty Diamonds embossing folder. I then die cut a Stitched Rectangle as a panel for my trees. The trees were first stamped in Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point. I then coloured them using one of our Water Painters.

The sentiment is taken from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set. I have actually cut it apart from the rest of the stamp, which is very tricky to do and not for the fainted hearted! Not entirely successful but good enough and I love that "Merry Christmas" on its own. The other options would be using Stampin' Markers to colour just that part of the stamp, masking off the unwanted parts of the stamp or stamping the whole sentiment and cutting out the part that is needed.

I thought I would show the cards that inspired today's design. Here is the first version I made.

And then last year I made two other versions using Perfectly Plaid and the Pine Tree punch.

Anyway back to today's card. If you'd like to watch my video tutorial showing how to make it, you can CLICK HERE or on the image below.

As you'll see, I changed the colours on the video. I decided to go with an assortment of greens. What do you think?

Here are both cards together so you can decide which is your favourite.

Hope you like my cards and might give them a go. Just a quick reminder that the stamp set - Coming Home - and the die set - Home Together - will be both be disappearing from sale on 4th January, so make sure you order them soon if you would like to get your hands on them!

Bye for now, back soon,
