Pinkies Retreat Swap Cards Part 2

Hi everyone,

I'm back today to show you the other cards I received as part of the swaps we did at the Pinkies Team Craft retreat last weekend. The cards for this group were to feature any bundle from any of the catalogues. As you will see, some lovely cards made by some very talented demos.

First, this lovely card was made Dianne Endersby. She has used the Tasteful Touches stamp set to make her card and I think she must have used a bit of clever masking to stamp all these multicoloured flower images.

Dianne even decorated the inside of her card.

This next card is made by Claudette Cambridge-Pratt aka Crafty Claudette. She has used the Lovely You bundle for her card including the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch.

Alexis Pritchard's card is next, using the Under my Umbrella bundle and some of our lovely Rainbow Glimmer paper.

The next card is made, by Sue Temple, using the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle. I've been so tempted by this bundle and this card is tempting me even more.

This card is even more fabulous when it is opened.

The last card is made by Lucy Tustian. Lucy has used some new products for her card. These will be available in January in the new Spring Mini catalogue - the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and the Dandy Garden DSP.

And this is another card with a fabulous surprise inside.

If you'd like to get a closer look at the cards you can see me showcase them on my video which you can see by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

Pinkies Retreat Swap Cards Part 1

Hi everyone,

Some of you might have read on my social media that last weekend I spent some time at a Weekend Craft Retreat. Of course, it was "virtual" in these times, which was nowhere near as good as meeting up in person but it was fun with a total of 9 Make n Take projects, with all products needed supplied in our "kit" and lots of chat and laughter in our Zoom Craft Room.
One of the things we like to do at any event when we get together is to "swap" - we all make a number of identical cards or other projects and then swap amongst ourselves so that we end up with different projects to inspire and delight us. For this event we were put into groups of 6 and could choose which swaps to participate in. I chose to do the "Die Cutting" group and the "Use any bundle" group.

Today I am showing you the swaps I received from the "Die cutting" group. Starting with this beautiful card by Lucy Tustian.

Lucy has used the Positive Thoughts stamp set with the Nature's Thoughts dies. And the sentiments are from the Ornate Thanks set.

Next up is Sylvia Lawrence. Sylvia has used the Whale of a Time DSP along with the Whale Done stamp set and the Whale Punch. This card holds a great surprise when you open it up.

Look how fab this card is in the middle.

You can see the mechanism of this card in the photo below.

The next card is made by Helen Broxap and features a suspended element.

This photo shows the reverse of the suspended element.

Belinda Wells made the next card - using the Warm and Toasty Stamp Set along with the lovely foil printed Wonder of the Season Memories and More Card Blanks and envelopes.

And lastly, this card is made by Claudette Cambridge-Pratt aka Crafty Claudette. Claudette has used the Poppy Moments dies and Painted Poppies dies to make this stunning card.

And so, those are the cards I received. I hope you've enjoyed seeing them. If you'd like to see them in a bit more detail, you can watch my video by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

That's all from me today. Come back tomorrow to see the swaps I received from the other swap group and then later in the week to see the cards I made for the swaps.

Bye til then,

Ink, Stamp, Share Monthly Blog Hop for November - Christmas Tree decoration

Hi everyone,

Welcome to the Ink, Stamp, Share monthly blog hop for November. I hope you've been enjoying hopping around all the blogs and have maybe found some inspiration for your next crafty project.

Our theme for this month is "Christmas Tree Decoration". Some of you may have noticed that recently I have been a bit obsessed with the So Many Snowflakes dies and more specifically a cluster I made using three different sized snowflakes cut from Balmy Blue glimmer paper, Whisper White and Silver Foil. So far, if you look back through my blog, you'll see that for this blog hop last month I made a box and for another blog hop I made a card, both featuring those snowflakes - and I'm using it again today for my Christmas tree decoration.

I decided to make my decoration very simple and quick to make. If you are like me, at the moment you will be incredibly busy preparing for Christmas so no time to make complicated, fancy projects (not that I ever do anyway!!).

The decoration is exactly the same on the front and the back so that it is really pretty and catches the light however it twists and turns.

When I saw the photo above, it struck me that these would make lovely gift tags too.

If you'd like to see how I made my decoration there is a short video tutorial you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

And I have another couple of projects lined up for these snowflake clusters so please pop back to see those soon. Or even better, sign up on the right to receive email notifications every time I publish a post - that way you won't miss out on anything!

Meanwhile, please continue to visit all the other fabulous blogs in our hop today - some truly fabulous projects to inspire you. Next up is Annette Elias who I'm sure has something lovely for you to see.

And here is the whole roll call for today, just in case there are any problems with links etc.
