Fancy Fold card with Magnolia Memory flower - Video tutorial

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. I'm back today with the video tutorial for the card I showed you on Saturday.

This card was made for a colour challenge - Petal Pink, Basic Gray and Gold. As per usual, as you'll see if you take a look at the video, I went with different colours for Take 2. I used a colour I don't use very often - Blushing Bride - and I quite like it. I paired it with a gorgeous piece of patterned paper from the Hydrangea Hill pack and Silver Foil instead of Gold.

And of course, I changed the sentiment too - I can never have enough "Thank You" cards!

For me this is a bit of a fancy fold, although I know it isn't as complicated as a lot of other samples out there.

Here are the two cards together - do you have a favourite? Both are quite pastel for me! I'm usually more a "brights" kind of girl!

Anyway if you'd like to see how I made my card, you can watch my video by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for joining me today,

Bye for now, back soon,

InspireInk February Blog Hop - Tic Tac Toe Colour Challenge

Hi everyone,

Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. And welcome also to the InspireInk blog hop for February. This month we have a colour challenge in the form of a Tic Tac Toe.
The idea of a Tic Tac Toe is a bit like Noughts and Crosses - choose a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line of three and use those three in your project. I decided to use the bottom horizontal line - Petal Pink, Gold and Basic Gray.

I had been waiting for an opportunity to use some of the lovely Peony Garden paper and this was it!

I started with a standard sized card blank (10.5cm x 15cm) in Basic Gray before scoring the top panel in half and folding it back the opposite way. And then added a square panel on top.  Quite a "fancy fold" for me! Hopefully you can see the make up of the card on this next photo.

The lovely three dimensional flower is made up from dies from the Magnolia Memory set - I'm ashamed to say I bought these months ago and this is the first time they have been used.

Here is the card laid flat.

I will be back very soon with a video tutorial to show you how I made my card so do pop back for that. (You can sign up for email notifications of every time I post on the right).

I hope you like my card. I really enjoyed making this one - and taking the opportunity to use some much neglected products.

Do keep hopping around all the other links in our blog hop by clicking on the blue box below. There are some amazing projects to see and you don't want to miss any! I love seeing what everyone comes up with.

Project Share Project - Sept 12th

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. I'm very excited today as this weekend I will be away at our team retreat with some of these ladies - can't wait!

Once again today I have three amazing projects to show you, beginning with Verity of Inky Butterfly who has made this lovely card using the Good Morning bundle of stamp set and dies, along with the Magnolia Lane papers.

Good Morning Magnolia Stampin Up

That layer of vellum really adds something to this card. Hop over to Verity's blog to see the details about her card by CLICKING HERE.

Next is Heather of Stamp with Nellie.

Heather has made these darling little table crackers which would look great on any Christmas lunch table.

Pop over to Heather's blog to find out how to make them by CLICKING HERE.

And last for today is Gez. Gez has been showing her followers how to make the most of their patterned papers by using one sheet to make two or more cards. I love this card she has made, using a strip of the Feels Like Forst papers and the words from the Word Wishes die set. A perfect clean and simple card.

You can read all about Gez's project and see her video showing how to make it over on her blog HERE.

And that is another Project Share complete. Another week has whizzed by! Do join me again next Thursday for more inspiration from these wonderful ladies - and maybe some photos from our shenanigans at the weekend!
