Birthday Cards to ME!!!

Hi everyone,

Some of you know from reading my blog that a couple of weeks ago I celebrated a very significant birthday. I received so many lovely cards which made me feel very special. Today I thought I would just pop in here and show you a couple of the cards I received.

Firstly, there is this fabulous card which from my good friend, crafty colleague and fellow Pootler - Gez aka Nigezza.

Beautiful bouquet eclipse card Stampin Up

Ha ha - so no longer a secret which significant birthday it was! Gez kindly made the "SIXTY" very subtle in case I was sensitive about it (I'm not!).
She has used the "eclipse" technique which is so effective. It might be easier to see on this next photo.

Gez has used my all time favourite stamp set - Beautiful Bouquet and a whole kaleidoscope of gorgeous colours.  Thank Gez!!! She has a video on her YouTube channel showing you how she made the card which you can watch HERE

And then there is the card my husband bought me. Can you imagine how hard it is to buy cards from someone who makes her living making handmade cards?Well he excelled himself this year! Some of you may know I have a couple of online shops where I sell my quilled cards and he managed to find another quiller to make me a personalised card.

How fab is that? Here's a couple more close up photos.

And lastly here is a lovely little card from my card making friend Lesley. Lesley is very much on board with my passion for "clean and simple" and "less is more" and has achieved it in this fantastic little card!

So how lucky was I? I made a very quick little video to show you the cards in more detail. View it by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my cards!

Stampin' For All Design Team Challenge - Mother's Day

Hi everyone,

Well  it is my turn, once again, as part of the Design Team over in the Stampin' For All Facebook group, to post the challenge today. And the theme is Mother's Day. So despite the fact that I've already made 3 Mother's Day cards this year (and I only have one mother!) I have made another one. And this one might just be my favourite!

Large letter dies Happy Birthday gorgeous Stampin up

I haven't used the Large Letter dies for a while and I had forgotten how much I love them. I have a feeling they will be discontinued once the current catalogue retires in June - I'll be so sad and will definitely be holding on to mine.

Large letter dies Happy Birthday gorgeous Stampin up

I used Highland Heather Heather, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight on my card to give it a spring like feeling. The embossing folder is called "Seaside". The stamping on the letters is made with stamps from the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" stamp set. And the greeting is from the "Itty Bitty Greetings" set, punched out with the Everyday Label punch. The ribbon is Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.

Trying to show you the dimension of the card in this shot.

Trio punch Stampin Up

And this is the inside - I just decorated the corners of a panel of Whisper White card with the Detailed Trio Punch.

I have not made a video tutorial to go with this project but it is made the same way as I made some cards last year.
