My favourite projects from 2020 - Part 1

Hi everyone,
Welcome to my blog today. Thanks so much for popping in to see me. Today is the first part of my look back over the months of 2020 to select my favourite project from each month. Today we will take a look at January to June and tomorrow I'll be back with July to December.

So let's have a look at what I was up to in January. In Saleabration we had a lovely stamp set called Thoughtful Blooms and a coordinating punch - the Small Bloom Punch. I LOVED these products and I still love the Small Bloom Punch which transferred to the Annual Catalogue. I made lots of projects with these but I think this one has to be my favourite. And judging by the interaction on social media, it was one of yours too. Read more about it by CLICKING HERE.

For February, of course I had to choose a Valentine card. And this was my favourite of the bunch. It took a while to piece all those little coloured hearts back into the outline die cut but the result makes it so worth it! See more by CLICKING HERE

For Easter, in March, I strayed away from my usual card making and made this pretty little Easter egg basket. Read more by CLICKING HERE.

In April I bought the Music from the Heart and enjoyed making a series of #simplestamping cards like this one. Just one notecard, one stamp set and a black Memento ink pad. Read more by CLICKING HERE

Out of my usual comfort zone, in May I tried my hand at making a male birthday card - and a fancy fold to boot! You can read more about it by CLICKING HERE.

And lastly for today, in June, I used exciting new products from the new Annual catalogue to make this card. I still love it. Read more by CLICKING HERE.

Many of the products I have used in these projects are now discontinued but if you would like to purchase any, take a look at my Buy One Get One Free sale to see if I have them for sale.

Come back tomorrow to see the rest of my picks from 2020. Meanwhile have a great day whatever you are doing,

Bye for now, back soon,

Joy of Sets June Blog Hop - Splish Splash

Hi everyone and welcome to this month's Joy of Sets blog hop. I hope you've been having fun hopping around. You should have arrived here after seeing the lovely project made by Susan Webster.

Our theme this month is "Splish Splash" - I wasn't inspired to begin with as I didn't appear to have any relevant stamp sets. But then I remembered my go to set for male cards - Lilypad Lake. Sadly this set has now retired but it will stay in my collection forever! And so here is my card.

Lilypad Lake Stampin Up

I stamped the "sea" with the wavy stamp in Pacific Point and then went over it with an Aquapainter to get the ink to run a bit and give that watercolour effect.

Lilypad Lake Stampin Up

The boats were stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad and coloured with Stampin' Blends before being cut out with the matching dies.

The little birds were hand drawn using a fine, black journalling pen.

I hope you like my card and that you will continue hopping around all the other blogs to see the amazing projects everyone has made - loads of inspiration to be had. Next up for today is Rochelle Laird-Smith. Please click on the NEXT button to see what she has in store for you!

Here is the roll call just in case you get lost on the hop!

Stamp Around UK Video Hop - Masculine Card with Lilypad Lake

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog today. Today I am taking part in the Stamp Around UK Video Hop - where myself and several Stampin' Up! friends will all be posting a video and encouraging you to hop from video to video until you have watched them all. The theme for our video hop this month is "Masculine" - some of you will know that this is not my favourite theme! I really struggle with cards for males! But I went back to my favourite male themed set - Lilypad Lake - to make my card.

Here is my video - do have a loom and then continue to jump round the others.
Just CLICK HERE or on the image below.

My card has a bit of a fancy fold. You can see it better on this photo:

I do hope you like my project. Please do keep hopping around the other videos - settle down with a nice cuppa and spend a couple of hours watching all these marvellous projects. They are listed in the notes on my video but putting them here as well:

Grab some bargains while you can! Going, going, gone!

Hi everyone,

I wonder if you've had a chance to have a quick look at all the retiring products on the lists which were released on Wednesday evening? As I said at the time, as demos, we had no advance notice of whether there would be any discounts on any products but I am happy to say there are. And quite big discounts at that - up to 60% in some cases. I thought I would bring together my top ten of my favourite products which are now even better value for money. Starting with a couple of our all-inclusive kits:

Notes of Kindness Stampin Up

The Notes of Kindness kit is now only £13.20 - amazing value and would be so useful now to make a whole pile of thank you cards to send out to key workers who are all helping deal with this crisis.

And those of you who have followed me for a while will know that the Lots of Happy kit is my all time favourite.

And then there are some great value stamp sets. The Easter Promise set would be a great one to have in your stash in preparation for next Easter. And would also make great cards generally for spring. At only £7.20 who could say no?

And if you want to get organised really early for Christmas then you can't go wrong with the Merry Christmas to All stamp set.

There are coordinating dies to go with this set - "Merry Christmas dies" - but these have not been discounted.

Next a nice summery set - Daisy Delight - this set coordinates with the Daisy punch which is still in the catalogue.

Two other products I am really excited about are the Darling Label Punch Box

And the Botanical Prints Product Medley - such a huge discount for a whole heap of product!

And lastly three sets of dies which all coordinate with retiring stamp sets, which at the point of writing are still available.

The Bouquet Bunch dies coordinate with the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and these together have been my absolute favourite for a couple of years.

I made some great Christmas cards with the Detailed Deer dies and coordinating Dashing Deer stamp set.

And the Lakeside dies and Lilypad Lake stamps have been my go to set for male cards for a good while now.

Oh and I just noticed also that the fabulous "Thank You" die is 60% off - yes, I know that's now 11!! Must stop now but I could go on - do pop over to my shop and have a look for yourself!

You can see everything that is retiring by popping into my online shop HERE. Just to warn you there are some items that are on the list but will not actually be retiring but are being reconfigured - either the packaging is being updated or they are now being made by a different supplier.

I have also linked the products featured above, alongside their coordinating products, below.

Take care, stay safe,
