Sending Flowers card - Take 2

Hi everyone,

Remember this card which I posted a couple of days ago?

                     Sending Flowers Stampin' Up!

I used the very lovely Sending Flowers dies (only available until March 31st) and cardstock, ink and DSP in Rococo Rose.

This was the original card I made and then I brought you a video tutorial but as often seems to be the case, at the time I forgot to take photos of the card I made on the video. I usually make an alternative version in the video and this was true of this card - I went with Pool Party instead Rococo Rose. And so now I have taken the photos and can bring you the alternative card.

If you haven't watched the video you might at first miss the huge clanger I made! Can you spot it now I have told you?

Sending Flowers Stampin' Up!

Yes, that is right - I totally mis-measured the DSP so cut it too small and had to do some pretty quick adjustments to still make it work!

Here they are together which makes it easier to spot my error!

So if you missed the video and want to see me scrambling to sort out my "oops" moment you can watch by CLICKING HERE or on the image below.

Thank you for joining me today. I really hope you and yours are keeping safe and staying cheerful. Here is the UK the weather has been absolutely gorgeous with lots of spring sunshine which really helps - although of course we can only enjoy it within the confines of our gardens!

Back again soon,

Jill

Sending Flowers card

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing? Keeping busy and staying safe I hope!

Today's project uses the Sending Flowers dies. These are part of the Coordination Product Release that will only be available until March 31st. So I thought it was about time I started using them!

Stampin Up Sending Flowers dies card

My card was heavily inspired by one I saw on Pinterest by Michele Taylor, an Australian demo. Her blog is called Taylor Made Designs.

It is a very simple little card. I just die cut the big circular die in Whisper White and mounted it onto a panel of gingham patterned paper.

This card will soon be winging its way to my mum. All this virus nonsense means that I can't visit her at the moment and this sentiment has never been more true!

I think I forgot to show you the inside of the card on the video so here it is.

Would you like to see how to make it? Watch my video tutorial by CLICKING HERE or on the image below:

You will have a bit of a laugh watching the video. I cut the designer series paper to the wrong size and had to do some quick adjusting to make it work! As I always say, with my videos you get all my mistakes etc - the unedited version!

So here are the measurements you'll need to make it (properly!):

METRIC
Card blank: 14cm square (28cm x 14cm, scored at 14cm)
Designer Series Paper: 13.5cm square
Die cut panel: 12 cm square
Measure 1.8cm from the edge of the circle on all 4 sides
IMPERIAL
Card blank: 5 1/2" square (11" x 5 1/2", scored at 5 1/2")
Designer Series Paper: 5 1/4" square
Die cut panel: 4 3/4" square
Measure 3/4"  from the edge of the circle on all 4 sides

Hope you like today's card. Once again, I forgot to take the photos of the card I made on the video so I'll have to share it another day.  I'll be back soon!

Meanwhile please stay strong and keep safe,
