Saying Goodbye to the Happy Birthday Thinlits die

I really am confused by all my mixed emotions at the moment. I am so excited to place my first order from the new catalogue next Wednesday but at the same time I am really sad to be saying goodbye to so many favourites from the current catalogue. I know this shouldn't be an issue as I could still hold onto them and craft with them. But in reality I know that as a demo trying to run a business I will never do that as I will never have time.

So there will be a lot of products that I will be wishing farewell to and the Happy Birthday Thinlits die is one of those that I will find it hard to part with.

Buy the Happy Birthday thinlits die in my online shop Stampin' Up!

I have made so many lovely projects with this in the past - I thought I'd take a stroll down memory lane today.

First off these are the very first cards I made with it to showcase that year's new In Colors.

Here is one of them in close up - and reminds me of another favourite we will be losing. Berry Burst - how will I manage without it?

And then we have a couple of little notecards I made with Washi tape and the die. Very simple to do!

This next card was made for a class I ran - the participants all enjoyed making it!

The die is not just useful to make cards. Here I have used it on gift bags!

And I have left the best til last - at least in my opinion. This is the card I made with the die that really is my favourite - and yes, of course it had to have a rainbow!

Hope you all have a great day. I tend to only work a half day on Fridays so am off out with some friends this afternoon - hope it is sunny!

The Project Share Project - Week 22

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and the Project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. And let me introduce you to the team. From the left that's me, Verity, Gez, Heather and Helzie.
Once again, I have four fabulous projects from these wonderful ladies for you today.

And first up today is Gez of Nigezza Creates. I had to include this card as it was made for me for my recent "significant" birthday! Although normally I'm a clean and simple girl and tend to go for more subtle colours, I LOVE this card!!
So sad that the Large Letter dies are retiring next week - I will be hlding onto mine to continue using them!

Project Share Project Week 15

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another Thursday and The project Share Project where I get to showcase projects made by some of my crafty friends. I have four fabulous projects for you today.

First up today in Verity of who blogs at Inky Butterfly.

Verity has used the Dear Doily bundle to make this lovely card - which incidentally uses two of the 2017-2019 In Colors which will be leaving us very soon - Lemon Lime Twist and Berry Burst.

Read more about Verity's project by clicking HERE.

Next is Gez who blogs at Nigezza Creates. A couple of weeks ago Gez used a sheet of our Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut paper to make a gorgeous set of card. She sponged the paper and was left with a stencilled sheet - and this is what she used it for!

How fab is that?- a beautiful folder contaning a lovely set of handmade cards.

And then we have Heather, who blogs at StampwithNellie, and has made this lovely ombre effect card - which could be suitable for any of the men in your family.

And lastly for today is Helzie, who blogs at Slimm and Stylish. Helzie has been using the Pop of Petals stamp set and markers to make this lovely card.

Broadway Bound birthday card

Hi there,

Thanks for joining me again. Today I have a really simple little project for you but it still has an "wow" factor - at least I think so. This was the birthday card I made for my niece who was 19 on Christmas Eve.

Broadway Bound, Happy birthday thinlits die, Stampin Up

This card was very simply a Basic Black square card blank, a layer of patterned paper (I used Broadway Bound) and a diecut - I just cut our Happy Birthday thinlit die out of our Gold Foil sheet.

This was just perfect in the run up to Christmas when I was so busy - a quick and easy card was definitely called for! The patterned paper I used was our Broadway Bound Speciality Designer Series Paper. This is a pack of beautiful papers which are foiled in shiny gold on one side and have brightly coloured birthday patterns on the reverse. They are so useful for celebration cards and other projects.

I'm not sure you can see the gold foil very clearly in the photos above so here is one where I've really tried to catch the light.

Along with the card I made a small box with one of the other papers for a small gift and also a gift money wallet. So great to be able to produce this set of coordinating card and gifts so easily!

If you want to add the Broadway Bound papers to our wishlist, don't forget that at the moment you can choose a free product of you spend £45. See all the products you can choose from by clicking "Saleabration" in my shop HERE.

I'll be back soon with a video tutorial showing you how I made the gift wallet - watch out for that!
